Research Interest
Marine biology and ecology of benthic communities, especially fisheries
biology and population dynamics of Mediterranean fisheries. Fishery
research of demersal populations, basically the study of growth,
reproduction, and analysis and assessment of the main exploited resources.
Influence of hydrography, environmental factors and bottom type on
abundance and distribution patterns. Effects and
consequences of discards effected by the Mediterranean trawl fleet.
Impact of demersal fishing gears on the benthic ecosystem: macrobenthic
infauna and epibenthos. Systematics and faunistic studies.
