Durant el mes de juny el Centre de la Platja de Barcelona acull l’exposició 'BioMARató 2023: Platges amb vida'.
La BioMARató és un esdeveniment de ciència ciutadana on competir de forma amistosa amb altres regions i cuitats per reportar el màxim de biodiversitat, ja siguin ocells, plantes del passeig marítim o espècies subaquàtiques. Té lloc cada any entre el 1 de maig i el 15 d''octubre i la regió guanyadora és la que aconsegueixi reportar el major núemro d'espècies i observacions a la plataforma de ciència ciutadana MINKA.
En el marc de la BioMARató, el passat novembre del 2023 es va inaugurar l'exposició ‘BioMARató 2023: Platges amb vida’, que consta d’una selecció de 30 fotografies de persones usuàries de MINKA que van participar en la BioMARató 2023. Les fotografies estan dividides en quatre categories; espècies amenaçades, espècies rares, invasores i de més qualitat gràfica. Aquestes fotografies són la prova de com la ciutadania pot tenir un paper primordial en la monitorització de la biodiversitat de la costa, ajudant a fins i tot a trobar espècies invasores o espècies mai vistes a la costa catalana.
La BioMARAtó 2023 i l'ecposició està organitzada pel grup de recerca EMBIMOS de l’Institut de Ciències del Mar (ICM-CSIC), amb la participació de la Federació Catalana d’Activitats Subaquàtiques (FECDAS), Anèl·lides – Serveis Ambientals Marins, Plàncton Diving i els projectes europeus MINKE, ANERIS, ECS i GUARDEN.

This June, the Barcelona Beach Center hosts the exhibition 'BioMARató 2023: Beaches with Life'.
The BioMARató is a citizen science event where you compete in a friendly way with other regions and care to report the maximum biodiversity, whether birds, plants on the seafront or underwater species. It takes place every year between May 1 and October 15 and the winning region is the one that manages to report the greatest number of species and observations on the MINKA citizen science platform.
Within the framework of BioMARató, last November 2023, the exhibition 'BioMARató 2023: Beaches with Life' was inaugurated, consisting of 30 photographs of MINKA users who participated in BioMARató 2023. The photographs are divided into four categories; threatened species, rare, invasive species and of higher graphic quality. These photographs are proof of how citizens can play a primary role in monitoring the biodiversity of the coast, even helping to find invasive species or species never seen before on the Catalan coast.
BioMARAtó 2023 and the exhibition are organised by the EMBIMOS research group of the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC), with the participation of the Catalan Federation of Underwater Activities (FECDAS), Anélidas – Marine Environmental Services, Plankton Diving and the European projects MINKE, ANERIS, ECS and GUARDEN.
