Next 18 November from 10 to 12 AM (CET) will take place the workshop "Towards a clean and sustainable Mediterranean Sea", an UN Ocean Decade Satellite activity that aims to give voice to several Mediterranean experiences of tackling marine litter, looking at best practices between marine litter, its prevention and remediation, and highlighting programs implemented in Mediterranean areas.

10:10 – 10:20 Faiçal Ghzaiel, President of the Jlij association Jlij for the marine environment AJEM on the island of Djerba, Tunisia.

10:20 – 10:30 Giuseppe Razza, President of the European Movement for Sustainable Development and Integrated Expert of German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

10:30 – 10:40 Pero Tutman, Researcher at the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, Croatia.

10:40 – 10:50 Aikaterini Anastasopoulou, Principal Researcher at the Institute of Marine Biological Resources and Inland Waters of the Hellenic Centre of Marine Research (HCMR), Greece.

10:50 – 11:00 Susana Sainz Trápaga, Responsible for the Catalonia Maritime Strategy Program. Directorate General of Maritime Policy and Sustainable Fisheries, Catalan Government, Spain.

11:00 – 11:10 Estibaliz López Samaniego, project manager of the NGO Vertidos Cero, Professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and UNEP/MAP consultant for the data analysis of marine litter indicators CI22 and CI23, Spain.

11:10 – 11:50 Round table with Q&A from the audience

11:50 – 12:00 Summary and conclusions.
