The main goal of my research consists in the study of mesoscale oceanographic phenomena and their relationship with biological and geochemical parameters of the water masses. I’m doing the studies of oceanic fronts and eddies, their thermohaline structure and dynamics, the mesoscale and small-scale mixing and transformation of water masses.
A significant part of my work as a physical oceanographer is dedicated to the in situ measurements, which is why I am interested in applying the new methodologies and using the new devices for oceanographic phenomena sampling and the processing of obtained data in real time.
