- Data processing, analysis, and validation of remotely sensed soil moisture as well as brightness temperature, particularly from the ESA's Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity (SMOS) and NASA's Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) missions.
- Broad knowledge of soil moisture retrieval and disaggregation algorithms, particularly the synergy of microwave with optical VIS/IR data to downscale SMOS soil moisture.
- Development and implementation of added-value products and land applications mainly based on soil moisture data.
