Have you ever wondered what it feels like to swim through the oceans like a sea turtle?
In this talk, our colleague Nathan J. Robinson will explain the key phases of a sea turtle's life from their own perspective. Starting as a hatchling buried deep below the sand before eventually adopting a migratory life that involves migrating thousands of kilometers across ocean basins every few years, the researcher will detail each sea turtle's journey using a combination of cutting-edge scientific information and engaging videos.
Nathan has worked in sea turtle conservation for over 15 years and played an instrumental role in the global fight against plastic pollution when a video of his removing a plastic straw from a sea turtle's nose went viral in 2015. Nathan is currently a Severo Ochoa post-doctoral fellow at the ICM-CSIC.
