Biologist and Oceanographer with great interest in the study, analysis, management and solving marine environmental problems. I have great experience in ecology, eutrophication, experimental design, data analysis and great capacity to integrate and apply knowledge from different fields. My collaboration with professionals from other scientific areas facilitate me to work in multi and transdisciplinary teams. I am currently working on the research project "Understanding top-down control in coastal bloom forming protists: Opening the parasitic compartment". My research consists in understanding the mechanisms underlying the ecological aspects of the parasite-host relationship in the coastal zone. Evaluate the diversity and abundance of parasites that infect phytoplankton species that proliferate in the water column and explore the specificity of the host in situ and in the laboratory and its relationship with the spatial distribution of the host.
