My research expertise is on taxonomy of protists. In particular, I’m interested in the determination of their diversity and distribution in coastal environments, focusing on dinoflagellates and combining morphological and molecular approaches. Additionally, I’m interested in the interaction of those microorganisms, especially in parasitism between protist species, integrating the planktonic and benthic compartments in coastal areas.
