My PhD is focused in gelatinous zooplankton ecology. Particularly, I am studying the distribution of Pelagia noctiluca larvae (the most common and widely distributed jellyfish in the Mediterranean Sea) during the summer in the Eastern Mediterranean. In addition, other part of my PhD is cenetred on the vertical and horizontal distribution of other cnidarian species and Pyrosoma atlanticum during the winter in the same area. I am also analysing the current situation of the invasive ctenophore Mnemiopsis leidyi in the Ebro delta.
