LEADING TALENT
ICM success is a collective endeavor that relies both in established researchers as well as in outstanding emerging young research talents.
Our established researchers have pushed ICM to the forefront of marine research in Europe. Prove of this is that ICM has featured the highest Nature Index of all marine research centers in Spain and in the Mediterranean region in 2019 and 2020.
To build the future we imagine for our oceans, we first need to nurture the talent that will build these envisaged expectations. ICM is firmly committed to train and host the future generations of excellent and socially conscious marine researchers. ICM offers a vivid, stimulating research environment to attract young emerging research leaders from all over the globe.
In 2019, ICM was able to attract 8 postdoctoral fellows, funded through the most competitive schemes such as the Ramon y Cajal positions of the Spanish Research Agency, or the Marie Skłodowska Curie Individual Fellowships of the European Commission.
