CHEMICAL ANALYSIS SERVICE
This service carries out routine determinations in chemical oceanography and water quality control, mainly dealing with inorganic nutrients, dissolved organic carbon, and total nitrogen and phosphorus.
The service includes the following instruments:
-TOC-CSH / TN –Shimadzu: for TOC, DOC and TN determination;
-AA3 HR Seal Analytical: for inorganic nutrient determination (phosphate, nitrite, nitrate, silicate) with Fluorometer Jasco to ammonium determination;
-AA3 Seal Analytical with Julabo Digestor: for TN and TP determination.
Usually, samples are obtained in laboratory experiments and diverse natural environments (often taken in oceanographic cruises conducted in any latitude).
The Service is offered to the researchers of the ICM, other CSIC centers and universities, public institutions and the private sector.
The Service is open to incorporate new chemical analyses and offers advise for the implementation of other methods.
