My thesis aims to study microbial community assembly and turn over along short temporal scales in the marine environment, with focus on the role of blooming species. I will study prokaryotic microbial communities structure’s through next generation sequencing (NGS). Therefore, wide exploration of sequencing data will be fundamental during my thesis.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the Universitat de Barcelona, and a Master’s degree in Environmental Microbiology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
