I am Scientific Officer at the Ecology of Marine Microbes Research Group and currently responsible of the management of the EU H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network SINGEK. My long-standing interest in science, technology and research originated during my studies in Optics and Telecommunications Engineering, which leaded up to a PhD in Marine Optics (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, 2012), focused on the development of new processing methodologies applied to hyperspectral optical oceanographic data. I combined my research with teaching activities as a part-time lecturer at the Department of Optics (UPC). Since 2010, I have specialized in science management and dissemination, working as scientific officer at the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC) in different European projects (ESONET Network of Excellence – EU FP7, PHYTOSCOPE -Total Foundation, MSCA IF, MarineBiotech ERANET, etc).
