The ICMxPalestina platform and the centre’s staff present the following manifesto in solidarity with Palestine and for the observance of international law.
In light of the serious humanitarian crisis and the systematic destruction of educational and scientific infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, the staff of the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC) join the call of the international academic community. Through this manifesto, the ICMxPalestina platform and the undersigned staff members express their rejection of genocide and call on the institution and the CSIC to take concrete measures in support of the Palestinian people, to suspend agreements with entities linked to the conflict, and to defend human rights and peace through research.
