My research expertise is on geophysics and is centered around the use of Electromagnetic (EM) methods for studies both on land and off-shore, and at different scales, from shallow to deep, lithospheric-scale depths. My scientific interests are the application of EM methods to the study of the ocean, crust and mantle; the tectonic control on the physical properties of rocks; tectonics caused by the presence of fluids at different scales; time series analysis with special emphasis in natural EM data processing; numerical modeling and data inversion; and the development of marine instrumentation and permanent marine observatories. I am currently working on lithospheric scale study of the Aegean, Gulf of Cadis and NE Brazil; presence of fresh water in the continental margin; application of drones for deep mining exploration; and the development of a new marine time-series processing code.
