My research expertise is on fisheries biology. Particularly, I have gone deeper in exploring the underlying assumptions, identifying the impact of bias of input data and accounting the uncertainty of the model outputs for performing stock assessment on both data-limited and data-rich stocks. Thus, the advice that may be provide to management of fisheries may better reflect the best available fishery science. In parallel, I use the stock assessment information to set bioeconomic models and apply Management Strategy Evaluation. I have involved in both EU and Spanish funded projects, but I am frequently involved in European and FAO working groups related to management advice of Mediterranean fisheries
