I obtained my degree in Biotecnology at the University of Vic, I have a master’s degree in Development biology and genetics at the university of Barcelona. Finally in 2017, I finish my PhD in ambiental microbiology and biotecnology at the same University, focused on the develop a pipeline for analyze metagenomic (WGS) viral data, in waste water, food and human serum samples.
My lines of research are framed within the study of marine microorganisms. My principal task in the group was perform the data analysis from metagenomics studies. Responsible for the in silico characterization of environmental samples, from water column to sediment. This task encompassed, among others, HTS data analysis, including scripting, programming, statistical analyses and applying common standard analysis tools and algorithms.
