My research focuses on the structure and formation processes of rifted margins, back-arc basins and subduction zones from processing and modelling of active-source seismic data (WAS and MCS), as well as gravity data. In particular, I’m interested on the influence that structural and physical rocks properties in subduction zones exert on the propagation of megathrust earthquakes and the generation of tsunamis. I’m exploring this latter aspect by combining observations from seismic data and dynamic rupture numerical simulations.
