I am currently pursuing my PhD at the Institut de Ciències del Mar (ICM-CSIC) under the supervision of Josep M. Gasol and Viena Puigcorbé. My thesis is centred on the study of microbial communities found attached to marine particles, which are crucial mediators of the biological carbon pump, while in transit to the deep ocean. For this, I actively participate in oceanographic cruises, as well as perform lab work and bioinformatic analyses.
