Led by the ICM and the UTM, this network of 26 organisations has been selected by the UN as a programme of the Ocean Decade.
The event, which starts today, presents a programme with more than 250 activities and 300 speakers to bring science closer to all citizens.
This year, unlike previous years, the congress, which aims to bring oceanography to primary school students, has been held outside the ICM and on different days due to the current health situation.
These are 3-year grants aimed at hiring young researchers, which the ICM has now been able to access for the first time thanks to the acquisition, last year, of the Severo Ochoa Excellence Award.
The platform, in which the ICM participates, is aimed at all citizens interested in geology-related topics, but especially at the educational community.
The Institute participated last week in the 10th Transfiere Forum, the main R&D&I meeting in Southern Europe.
